

Meet Vince Wertman. Vince is seasoned in the seed industry and has been rooted in ag for years. Vince brings to the ABM sales team a sense of dedication, persistence and a wealth of knowledge.
This exclusive interview with Vince uncovers his background in the seed industry, passions in and out of work and some of his greatest career aspirations.
What is your role at ABM?
I am the Regional Sales Manager and Technical Services Director for Advanced Biological Marketing.
What geographical areas do you cover?
The western cornbelt and northern plains.
What is your education/business background?
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with a specialization in Agri-Chemistry, Microbiology and Nutrition. My experience includes seed treatment, plus product formulation and manufacturing. I have been with ABM since 2006.
How did you get into this line of work?
I was a customer before joining ABM. I was previously involved in the seed treatment industry. I work on products that are alive to improve crops—not a product that kills something, like an insecticide. I am a proponent for bio-friendliness, ecology and solid technology.
Who is someone that has been a mentor and/or influence on your life?
Former employees and former acquaintances.
What are you most passionate about within your job?
I love to help make sure farmers produce revenue for their family & grow good crops. Everything boils down to enabling farmers to produce well and more, efficiently. Agriculture touches every industry.
What are you passionate about, outside of work?
Gardening, dachshunds, emerging and virtual technologies, and cryptocurrencies.
